An Increasing Internet Culture Simple Mobile Websites & Social Media Optimization

Simple mobile websites and social media optimization is not a tool but it is todays internet culture. With the social media sites on internet, people have got a good platform to become more social, more interactive and more communicative and more and more it revolves around the mobile platform and not the PC. Social media optimization via simple mobile websites doesnt only allow the discovering and reading of content and information but also encourages you to share the knowledge what you have. It is no more a one-way process but is a two way communication.
Social media optimization stresses the fact that your target audiences are real people and you need to be friendly and real to them as you are with your friends and acquaintances. A great way to understand your target audiences is to engage then in an honest conversation and to know them. This is text message marketing at its purest and most powerful, you have to provide your target people with attention grabbing, relevant content like video, audio, mobile accessibility, widgets etc. There should be regular updating of the content and keep providing them relative, fresh content. You have to expand your network (bloggers, twitter etc) and expand your network of content too whilst still keeping it pertinent to your target consumer.
Key factors in social media marketing are to focus on social media sites and knowing your target spectators. Apart from creating a quality content, you have to track and measure the conversion to calculate ROI. Social Media optimization enables the advertiser to create a conversation with the target audience. Social Media can spread across multiple mediums very quickly, and increase your advertising reach. It also creates instant brand awareness. The use of simple mobile websites encourages and enables businesses and users to position themselves directly opposite each other and do business virtually face to face and on their own terms AND in their own environment which results in a more authentic marketing message.
The use of simple mobile websites works on the fundamentals of getting people into a conversation and winning them over. It is really important to arouse their interests and encourage them to talk about themselves or the things they like. Dont be afraid introducing a new topic and reward helpful and valuable users.
There is the need to prepare some ground work before you actually start with your text message marketing campaign. Before getting your SMO campaign into full swing, your SEO campaign should be put into place to have the highest-ranking site for the keywords that you will be promoting. It is important to note that the keywords used for mobile SEO are quite different. Once you have ranked your site for all of your important keywords you will be ready to receive all of the new searches. You may call it a new approach to Word-of-Mouth medium. Social media optimization via your simple mobile website allows you to efficiently spread the word and generate a curiosity and interest for a relatively unknown or a new product or service.
With every profit you have to be prepared for losses too, if you mess up with your text message marketing and social media optimization you can irreversibly damage your brand. There is no guarantee that your submission will be popular and hit the first page of the social media site, for this reason consulting with an experienced consultant is vital. Fund Raising - Non-Profit Organizations

Fund Raising: A Business SMS Use Case
Filed in Business SMS, SMS Guides on Jun.27, 2011

SMS is a cheap and ethical way for charities and organisations to communicate with their supporters, notifying them of upcoming events or keeping them informed of what work they have been doing ‐ this makes the supporters feel more connected to the cause and more likely to contribute in the form of volunteering and donating.

Some of the sectors already benefiting from using SMS text messaging for fundraising include the following: Schools, Clubs & Societies, Political Parties but the most common sector using SMS this way is Charities…

Charities

Charities all over the world are already aware of how effective SMS can be in raising awareness as well as funds. These days almost everyone carries their mobile phone with them at all times, it is because of this that SMS text messaging offers an instant form of communication and response between charities and their supporters.

Raising Awareness

The support of like-minded individuals is essential for an organised charity to be able to aid its chosen cause. As a charity these like-minded people need to know that you exist before they can actively offer their support in your endeavours. A great way to do this is to identify groups of people who are likely to want to help and then send them a message to see if they’re interested. Profession and location are a great way to find supporters or perhaps people who have expressed interest in a similar cause in the past.

Organising Events

Once you have established yourself as a charity you will be running fund-raising events and programmes, many of which will rely on the volunteers who support you. SMS is a cheap and efficient means of contacting would be volunteers and updating those who have already signed up to help.

Gathering Donations

When your event is drawing near and your workforce of volunteers is in place you need to let everyone else the where and the when so they can participate in raising money for your cause, again SMS is a great way to do this – it is unintrusive and gets the message directly into their hands. You can even use a premium rate Shortcode to gather donations directly from their mobile phone bill.

Giving Thanks

Once and event is over and the donations have been counted up it is a great idea to let your followers know how much they managed to raise, you can even tell them how it will be spent to help the cause and in appropriate cases send them updates for ongoing schemes. All this is designed to increase the chance that they will donate again, and even persuade some who didn’t before of the good work that is going on.

Catch The Mobile Cash Wave

Mobile commerce is allowing an increasing number of consumers to buy and sell goods using mobile devices. It was recently reported that, according to a study by Appcelerator and IDC, mobile commerce has seen rapid expansion, with a year-over-year growth of 86 percent. ClickBank, the premier, online marketplace for digital information products, is embracing this trend and today is announcing their plans to introduce new features that will create a more mobile marketplace and meet the mobile needs of their customers and community of leading Internet marketers.
Over the past four months alone, ClickBank has experienced a 26 percent growth in mobile session traffic, and mobile sales have grown by a staggering 45 percent. The fastest smartphone and tablet growth seen by ClickBank has been Android at 145 percent, iPad at 77 percent and iPhone at 56 percent. Additionally, ClickBank saw 29 percent higher conversion rates with smartphones and tablets than desktop browsers. Throughout 2011, ClickBank will introduce several mobile features to better enable their clients to be successful through the mobile channel. These features will allow more options for ClickBank's customers, and provide the opportunity for their vendors and affiliates to expand their audience and reach customers in new ways. ClickBank plans to roll out these new features in the coming months.
"At ClickBank, we pride ourselves on identifying emerging trends and leading the industry in innovation and opportunity," said Brad Wiskirchen, CEO, ClickBank. "The significant growth that we've seen in mobile commerce is opening the door for us to expand our service offering in a way that will increase the effectiveness and success of our vendors and affiliates, and will make our marketplace more accessible to our customers."
The growing mobile trend has also introduced sales and marketing opportunities. Several of ClickBank's top vendors have taken the initiative to create products designed to educate others on taking advantage of these trends and business opportunities. In their series of products, Adam Horwitz and Tim Donovan are educating individuals on the various ways to find success by adopting the mobile commerce trends. Horwitz launched his first product in April of 2010, and since that time, has launched other products including the hugely successful Mobile Monopoly. Horwitz and Donovan have sold an impressive 36,000 products and $2.5 million on ClickBank to date. Their achievements in educating on the potential for success in mobile commerce have made Horowitz and Donovan some of ClickBank's top vendors in the affiliate marketing and e-marketing categories.
"The products that we've created have allowed people to find success by taking advantage of the explosion in mobile commerce," said Adam Horwitz. "ClickBank has provided us with a unique and effective channel for reaching an audience of mobile savvy individuals. We look forward to their expanding mobile features within this extremely successful marketplace."

Location, activity and time

Smartphones, are really smart. They are the most powerful data-collection tools ever created, don’t just tell brands what consumers want but where consumers are. Sometimes they even tell brands what consumers are doing at different times of the day. Spooky when this lightbulb comes on, as you walk into a shopping mall and you recieve a text from the store you are walking towards informing you what they have on offer.

Location, activity and time are a powerful combination, however, many companies, perhaps luckily for smaller brands, focus on the  technology instead of the people using it. In an exploding mobile market the playing field is still level and some local businesses can and are making exponential leaps and challenging them by getting it right.
Noone like telemarketing, it seems too impersonal and invasive so when it comes to mobile marketing if messages lack relevancy, consumers filter them out quickly, this has the potential to damage a brand badly. To be relevant to consumers, and to slip past the increasingly market savy consumer´s filter, companies must shift their approach to mobile marketing.
Consumers no longer passively participate in campaigns. Instead, they respond in real time, You are hot or you are not, influencing both the scope and direction of promotions. It’s a two-way conversation. It’s not enough to release a sparkly new mobile app. Innovative applications are important, of course, but brands have to do more.
Brands have to motivate people to act by designing campaigns as dynamic and flexible as the mobile market, which now includes search, social, video, music, gaming, payments, retail transactions, location-based services and augmented reality.
If you dont have mobile marketing campaigns manager and would like to see if your business qualifies for a free one month mobile makeover contact via this site.
Brands need a deep understanding of how mobile apps can drive views, downloads and checkins, and how to schedule specific calls-to-action around the real world that we live in. Release dates, product trials and related campaigns, both on and offline must be relative.
Globaljetbusinesssolutions can offer real-time information monitoring from mobile apps and social media to get you a broader perspective, and work alongside local based business and tailor the user experience on an individual level.

1. People don´t read signs but feel the vibration in their pocket

According to Gartner, the mobile advertising market is expected to double to $3.3 billion in 2011 and swell to $20.6 billion by 2015. The ads on the side of your facebook and google pages are relevant but do you know what they are? Most likely, the answer to that is lost as is destined a huge chunk of those advertising dollars
This dynamic isn’t going to change. A wise brand strategy, then, swims within the current instead of against it, presenting itself as a useful component of the filtering process. More important than ever is the USP for business.
Filtration is key, like niche marketing the more relevant you can be to consumers the better the outcome. Your mobile marketing consultant is destined to be the lifeblood of your business, helping you to hone and define your market and keep you at their fingertips and pouting lips.

2. Your business is personal to you, make it personal to clients

From a messaging standpoint, the great novelty and power of a mobile device is context: A mobile phone is the only consumer appliance that knows where it is at all times, noone is ever further than a few metres from their device
Companies can unlock that power by sending hyper-targeted messages based on narrow windows of opportunity or location. But the process shouldn’t end there. Brands and their agency partners need to know how to get consumers to talk back, to register their preferences in low-key, frictionless ways.
Multi-billion-dollar companies have been built atop algorithms tied to small clickable buttons — think about the “Like” button on Facebook, or the “Was this review helpful to you?” button on Amazon. For Amazon, simply adding that question to each product page brought in $2.7 billion of additional yearly revenue. When people see that their input actually does have some effect, they appreciate it and come back. The more they register their preferences, the more trust brands will build.

3. Sociable service for your customers to talk about

As social networks have become seamlessly integrated into the rituals of daily life, it’s not surprising to see that the social network market has become saturated.
Overall growth is slowing. In 2010, 134.6 million people used social networks across any technology platform each month, and in 2011, that number will rise by a little more than 3%, according to eMarketer. But consider that social networking is now the fastest-growing mobile activity.
Brands need to take this shift into account as consumers get in the habit of checking Facebook on the run if your site is not optimised for mobile social interaction you will be fired.
Facebook is a tool for conversations. Ad campaigns are conversations too. This is a nice coincidence and a useful one to any brand that knows how to effectively integrate the sometimes chaotic feedback that comes streaming in from this new class of smartphone-liberated consumers, jabbing at their phones in stores, schools, trains and homes.

4. Location, activity and time

By combining three types of mobile data — location, activity and time — it’s now possible for marketers to assemble a subtle and detailed picture of consumer behavior, one that also takes into account the shifting personas of consumers. A mom, for instance, is a different person at 7 a.m. when she’s getting the kids ready for school, than she is at 9:00 a.m. when she gets to the office.
A savvy marketer shift her message to stay relevant to that mom within a few hours? Relevancy is both the challenge and the opportunity of the revolutionary data-collection capabilities of smartphones.

If it doesn`t move it aint Rock and Roll

That`s the key to rock and roll. If it doesn`t have wheels its not going anywhere, it just aint Rock and Roll. In my younger days I did a fair amount of roadie work with a range of different bands from Tina Turner to Cliff Richard and these big acts have it down to a well oiled machine, not just the show but the merchandising too. People love to buys things and especially if they dont think they are being sold something, however concerts are a great example of funnel marketing, they queue for the tickets and are filed past the merchadising stand on the way into and out of the venue. Imagine if your fanbase wanted to connect with your business so badly that they added you to their most personal item, their mobile phone?
This applies to regular business aswell, if you are not moving with the times you might as well be working for someone else and save yourself the stress. Remember the yellow pages? Chances are if you are in traditional business you still use them, but how effective are they now? If your competitor and the general media is educating your clients on how to utilise the technology sitting withing 3 metres of their body 24 hours a day and your humble yet worthwhile enterprise is listed within a thousand pages of print, sitting in the third draw down in the kitchen, who do you think is going to go to Recife on holiday with the family on the business profits? Build your relationship build your business, and make it personal this is your life we are talking about. I will literally get you into your customers pants and for less than the price of a hotdog.

Step #1 "like"

Step #2
Mail me now for a consultation@globaljet.me and I will market your business free for one month and discuss how you can increase your turnover.

Step #3
Goto Recife for an extra 10 days holiday a year!

Increase Your Band´s Marketing Effectiveness With Text Message Marketing

If you have a band, you know how important it is to have a band marketing plan that will bring a crowd and fans that show up to your gigs that pack the place to it's limits. The more paying customers your band can bring to a venue, the higher your nightly gig rate will be and the more your revenue, pockets and bookings will grow.
You can go about your band marketing like everyone else, posting fliers or having a Facebook fan page. What you really need is a list of your fans that you can market to directly. This is the same as restaurants, retail stores or other businesses that build a list of their best customers and then market to that list with special offers, discounts and event notifications.
How can you build that list of your best fans, the ones that will show up to every gig, tell their friends about your band and buy your music? You have two options: You can implement an email sign up form on your website or ask people at gigs to write down your email address for you. This will work to an extent but most emails never reach the intended recipient, most people aren't in front of their computer all day and email response rates hover around 3%. This means if you sent out 1000 emails to your fans about a show that night, only about 30 would respond due to the low read rate.
The newest form of band marketing is text message marketing. With text or mobile marketing as it is also know, you build a list of your fans using a mobile marketing company and by implementing a mobile call to action throughout your website, Twitter, Facebook, on your fliers and print ads and at your shows. People text your band name to a 5 or 6 digit short code number. They are automatically added to your mobile list and are sent a reply message. Your list will grow on auto-pilot with no work being done by you. When you have your next gig, simply log into your mobile account, type out a short 160 character message and hit send. Within 15 minutes 95% of your subscribers and fans will have read the message about your gig directly on their mobile phone.
Bands can even have contests at their shows to grow their mobile list. Invite customers to text the band name to the short code to win a free band t shirt. The mobile marketing system will automatically text back a set number of customers a winning message while adding the others to your list.
Now your fans have the message about your show right on their phone, they can forward the message to their friends about the gig and when it is on their phone it will drive fans to your show with an average 20% redemption rate. That same 1000 person list you sent with email will bring in over 200 customers to your show when using text message band marketing.

If your not using this ºyou may as well just do weddingsº

The Future of Text Message Marketing (TMM/SMS)

Marketing fads come and go. In a highly connected, technological world, it's hard for small business owners to know if the latest trend in customer contact will really live up to the hype. Text message marketing, also known as cell phone or mobile marketing, isn't a fad - it's an excellent way to communicate with customers on their own terms.

According to an article published on GearLog.com, more than 250 million Americans (82.4 percent of the population) subscribed to a cell phone service in 2007. CNET.com reports 5 billion cell phone subscriptions worldwide in 2010. Those numbers reflect the fact that many people own more than one cell phone, but they're still astounding statistics that sound a lot like hype.

Your small business doesn't actually have 250 million potential customers, unfortunately. However, 82 percent of your customers probably do have cell phones, which makes text message marketing a sensible and cost-effective way to advertise. Customers and prospects welcome timely text messages with relevant information and irresistible offers.

When you compare mobile marketing to other types of advertising, it wins hands down. Newspapers? They're going out of business as readership keeps plummeting. Television? It can be hard to motivate customers to visit your small business when they're comfortable in their living rooms. Radio? Your prospects are listening while stuck in Send me One Million FREE Guaranteed Visitors ">traffic or on their way to someplace else.

These methods of advertising are extremely costly when you make a final count of prospects who came to you because they read or heard your ad. That's if you can figure out that a particular ad was the motivation for their visit to your business. Tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns can be difficult, but text message marketing gives you real-time information and you can easily see the impact of those short texts.

In addition, customers don't "opt in" to other advertising methods, meaning they may or may not be listening. With SMS mobile phone marketing, your prospects choose to join your list and choose to stay on it because they can opt out at any time. When you put the customer in control of how they receive your advertising messages, you know they're interested in hearing from you.

The new technology of text message marketing is the future of advertising. Reaching customers instantly using their preferred communication method is simply smart business. It's far better to have a few thousand really good prospects than 250 million who have no idea who you are or why they should listen to your ads. Once you've seen the amazing effectiveness of your TMM campaigns, you'll be wondering why you didn't try it before.

Mobile Marketing Strategies - Getting Familiar With Text Message Marketing

Mobile marketing through text is essential to small and huge businesses alike. But local businesses seem to take away more from this so-called "marketing SMS" technique especially since their targeted audience are people within their locality. Come to think of it. It won't be that practical to use the text message marketing technique on folks residing in Canada if your local business is situated in New York. You should use online marketing or similar strategies for that and not through SMS. Keep in mind that mobile marketing involving text messages works best if the recipients of the updates can actually check out and drop by your store or shop.

There are several advantages of text marketing over regular marketing online. For one, the delivery of messages can be as instant as it can get with mobile marketing. Although online marketing is also fast, mobile SMS marketing is faster in various senses. The message gets read almost instantly because phones are on most, if not all, of the time, unlike PCs and other devices. You are also sure that your business SMS updates will be sent directly to the phone's inbox and not somewhere else. With e-mail marketing, for instance, there's a chance that your message will be redirected to the Spam folder. That's not good for your business and you know that. So those are just two reasons why you should consider using mobile marketing strategies. There are more notable benefits that you can learn and understand.

If you are indeed considering using mobile marketing through text, you should explore the benefits of having those so-called "short codes" for your business. With the use of such codes, your loyal customers and some interested individuals can opt-in and get important text messages and SMS updates from your business. That can also lead to better response rates and improved sales. If they ever change their mind, offer them the option to opt-out. You don't want to come off as someone forcing your business down the throats of people, do you? Ensure that you know how to make the most out of those short codes and your other mobile phone marketing efforts.

Whether you are selling or marketing mobile phones, cakes, bags or even a profession, you can really benefit from mobile marketing as long as you know exactly what you are doing. In this world wherein it's possible to send text messages online, shop through your mobile phones and find out where you're at when you're lost, mobile marketing is not a far fetched idea that you can't be successful at.

Mobile Text Message Marketing For the Small Business Owner

Mobile text message marketing has arrived for the small business owner and is growing faster than any other advertising medium. Your customers now use their mobile phone for text messaging more than voice and internet access combined. In the U.S. there are now over 276 million wireless subscribers which is 89% of the total U.S. population. Cell phone usage has surpassed home phone usage along with the addition of 135.2 billion text messages being sent every month. In 2010, the number of text messages sent in the U.S. could reach 160 trillion.

What does that mean for you, the small business owner?

Your customers are on their mobile devices every day, all day. Newspapers are in decline, radio stations are hurting, direct mail doesn't produce a large return, and Yellow pages are almost extinct. You need to advertise to your customers where they are, at that moment, directly and instantly. Text marketing allows this and will also produce almost instant sales.

Large corporations have had access to text or SMS marketing as it is also know for a few years now. These large corporations have shifted their advertising focus from traditional media and according to the Mobile Marketing Association, by 2011 more than half of all national brands will spend between 5% and 25% of their marketing budget on mobile. At this time over 40% of global brands have already begun text message marketing campaigns.

Instead of just surviving with national chains in your market, you can now take them head on by leveling the playing field. The chains work every day to take your loyal customers. Now you can get your customers on a list and essentially fence them in with great offers that reward them for being your customer.

Thankfully you don't have to spend 5% to 25% of your marketing budget on mobile marketing. Text marketing was previously only available to large companies due to the cost, dedicated short code numbers needed and the necessity to have their campaigns fully managed. Now, with text message marketing companies designed for small businesses, if your small business does $10,000 a week in sales, your total advertising percentage versus gross sales will be only.006%!

CLICK HERE if nothing you seem to be doing for your marketing efforts is working to increase your sales or profits. Mobile marketing from Moto Message may be your answer.

Text Messaging Marketing Tips and Tricks

Currently, there is another boom happening, similar (but much larger) than the dot com boom of 2000 and the social media avalanche of 2006. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm referring to mobile. There are over four billion mobile phones in use today. So, how can you profit from mobile? Well, you do so through text messaging marketing!

Mobile text marketing (or SMS marketing), as it's called, is the most powerful direct response medium right now. The conversion and response rate crushes any other form of advertising online or offline. Businesses are noting as high as 30% "take action" rates. That's insane, and highly profitable!

What ways are business owners using text messaging marketing? Here are just some examples:

Short-code and keyword integration. This is where you can get a keyword (SUSHI, for example). Then, you can have your customers text this keyword to your specific short code number to get a special deal or discount. Once they do that, they are automatically subscribed to your text marketing database.

You can then send promotions out anytime and be sure that 97% of those people will see it. Expect between 11-30% to take you up on the offer, too! Text messaging marketing like this offers a huge response rate.

Appointment reminders. With mobile text marketing, you can send appointment reminders 45 minutes before someone comes to see you. This is huge because it reduces no-shows by 50% or more. People forget all of the time and it costs businesses more money than they think. Now, that problem is solved, which will grow your income substantially.

E-Cards. You can send polite e-cards to customers with text marketing. This will keep your name in front of them, yet provide them a happy greeting on a birthday, for instance.

Mobile coupons. It's hard to find anyone who's not looking for a deal these days. You can send a mobile coupon offering a discount or a freebie then watch as your business gets flooded with customers.

What I've described here is just the tip of a colossal iceberg when it comes to text message marketing using mobile. It's still in the early stages and those that hop-on will capitalize and profit tremendously. This is definitely not a fad, as everyone has a mobile device these days.

A QR code (short for Quick Response) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.
Common in Japan, where it was created by Toyota subsidiary Denso-Wave in 1994, the QR code is one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. QR is the abbreviation for Quick Response, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.
The technology has seen a large uptake in Japan and South Korea. However, in the West there has been a slower adoption of QR codes
How do I use it?
Generate a QR code with all of your work contact information included. Then email that image to your friend/associates who has a G1 or 3G 4G (you get the idea.)
  1.   They install the barcode scanner app.
  2.   Open that app
  3.   Point the camera at his monitor with that image in the email. It almost instantly pops up with all of the contact info.
  4. You are now a Badass!
Trying to get your marketing department to order new business cards with them printed on them!
Better yet send them the image above and we will show them other applications of this technology to use including bluetooth marketing, simple mobile websites, text message marketing or do it yourself with the code link below for affiliate marketers
Very cool.

The Social Media Revolution is in fact being televised...

The revolution is in fact being televised. As an introduction to the Users Panel of the Content on the Multilingual Web Workshop in Pisa, Paula Shannon from Lionbridge shared the following video with the participants to kick off the topic of the present and future of Social Media. I want to share it here because I believe this concept of a “Social Media Revolution” is fundamental in describing how Social Media Optimization (SMO) and Social SEO are shaping the world of Multilingual Web Content. 78% of content uploaded to WIKIPEDIA is not in English. These concepts explained in greater detail in her presentation at the same panel: Nascent Best Practices of Multilingual SEO.

Mobile Websites

When the internet shifted from being a part of the 'still' PC you had at your home to the mobile on your hand, naturally websites had to be redesigned so the likes of the tiny mobile device. With increase in mobile sales throughout the world, this number only burgeoned. Mobile websites are the next in-thing in the world of technology and effective marketing that aims to reach every person on the earth. This has led to a global surge in demand of mobile websites from the normal websites meant for the browser in your PC. Not surprisingly, designers and web-experts are swiftly working to provide the people with the same. Advantages of Mobile Websites

? Instant Marketing: One of the main reasons why websites went mobile is because of the popular public demand; following a vicious circle, marketing and advertisement has also caught up. That is, if you do not have a mobile website for your business today, it will be extremely difficult for you to survive the competition.

? Precise Information: Since not lot of screen space is available for the page to be displayed, it becomes important for the designer to create such a site that utilizes the maximum in the minimum space allotted - that means more responsive search results and information.

? Streaming of Media: As already mentioned, a faster lifestyle translates to lesser time available for personal entertainment. Therefore whatever little time people find in transit, they tend to hook on to the internet for live/recorded audio-visual streams - entertaining and relaxing themselves. That means a whole lot of opportunity for social networking to video sharing.

? Curbing Piracy: Piracy has been one of the major revenue drainers of recent times. Mobile websites are designed such that piracy is minimized to a large extent - a win-win situation for artists and intellectual property owners!

Efforts are on throughout the world to further transform the mobile device more like your multi-functional PC; and you thought power at hand was dream! Globalization and faster life has resulted in a race where people are seldom seen sitting at home. From business deals to tutors, all of it is available on the internet - this (information) is fuelled by the seemingly insatiable need for the same and hence the superb market growth.

How Text Message Marketing Works

How Text Message Marketing Works

Text Message Marketing is a new wave for business owners to market to their customer base at a time of their choosing. From day to day they have the ability to market to their customers whatever product or service they choose.

To begin a text message marketing campaign, a business owner needs to find a provider that offers a fair price and text a message package that fits their current need, but will allow them to grow. There are a lot of companies to choose from on the internet, and most of the good ones are affiliated with all of the top service companies. Many of these text messaging companies are internet based, meaning you are only going to get help online or over the phone. That person will be able to help you operate your internet back office and give you promotional ideas to send out to your customers.

Look for a company that has a short code that can be easily remembered. What is a short code? It is the five digit number that the customer will text the "keyword" to, so they can opt in to your Text Message Marketing campaign. If you have a short code that isn't easy to remember, you can have a lower opt in rate.

You are going to want to promote your Text Message Marketing campaign to your customers. Promoting it can be as simple as hanging some signs over your cash register, at each table and in your windows, that say "Text (newclients) to 41242 and get more information, or it could be about discounts, coupons and FREE stuff". This way is very effective for those businesses that have a younger crowd that will use text messaging a lot.

Other Businesses will want to offer an incentive to its customers to opt in. For example, a pizza place could offer a free small pizza when a customer joins their Mobile VIP Club. Try marketing your campaign as a Mobile VIP Club and let your customers know that they will get discounts, coupons and free stuff exclusive only to members, you only have to look to the huge wave of popularity with the likes of Groupon or Foursquare to get an idea of the potential for business and organisations.

You will need to market your campaign. Advertise it in any other medium that you currently advertise your business. Like, the phone book, newspaper, the internet and even on the back of the T-shirts your employees wear.

At the beginning, the name of the game is collecting phone numbers. Once you have about 50 numbers, start sending out your first text message. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is the message has to be good. You have to give your customers a heck of a deal. Remember, you are advertising in one of the most personal ways possible, in the palm of your customer's hand. Give them something of real good value, and make it urgent e.g "Buy one pizza at regular price and get a second of equal or lesser value free. Today only! EXP 8/8/2011"

Once you start sending out text messages, the game starts to change. You are still trying to acquire more numbers, but now you need to bring as many customers through the door as possible. When customers start getting good deals from your Text Message Marketing campaign, they will start talking to their friends. Thus, bringing in new customers. The bigger objective is branding your company in the mind of your customer. You want them to think about your burger restaurant before they think of a McDonald's or a Burger King. Text Message Marketing does just that, essentially, your business is right in their pocket.

Watch the number of messages you are sending out. This is where it becomes crucial to have a good campaign manager with you. I would recommend no more than two per week for a month then stop. Too many could cause your customers to start opting out, because they find the amount of text messages to become a bit of a nuisance.

If you are sending one message out per week and your list of numbers is close to 500 and your package only allows for 2,000 messages, then it is time to consider upgrading to the next higher package. Remember, if your list of numbers is growing, then you are doing something right. Don't be afraid to move up to that next package. When you make that move, it means you have already increased your revenue and are in a position to increase it even more.

Once you get the hang of it and start coming up with great offers for your customers, it becomes a simple and fun process. Remember, the only way a Text Message Marketing campaign can fail is if you do not give your customers a good value with each text you send. Always give good value. These are your loyal customers! See a short 1minute 25 second video on how it works now, goto www.mobilehelpers.com/globaljetbusinesssolutions  These are your loyal customers!
or simply try texting "newclients" and your name to 41242 to get personal and personalise your marketing today (sorry, that code is US only)

Making A Mobile Website With WordPress Plugins Is Now Easy

Mobile. The future is here. Everyone (or almost everyone!) now has a mobile device to access the internet and even more importantly they're actually using it to access websites online.
I would think anyone would like to have a mobile optimized version of their blog/website but in the past that has proved to be a daunting task.
If you were not an expert web coder or if you lacked the money to pay a developer to build a custom mobile solution for you then having a mobile website or blog was not a priority.
That has all changed now, especially for WordPress users. There are now many quality plugins available for the open source blogging platform, and the best part is the majority of them are free.
The 'how' part is very easy. By using one of the plugins listed below, you just install and click a few buttons. You'll then have a mobile website!
I cover 3 popular, quality WordPress mobile plugins here below for you to consider:
WP Touch
WPTouch is one of the more popular WordPress mobile plugins as it is already in use by thousands of users. The great thing about WP Touch is that it's super easy to set up and configure. All you do is upload the plugin, activate it, and then go through a single page of options to configure it how you like.
It looks great 'right out of the box' after you configure it, you can select which pages you want to display and you can add advertising to it such as AdSense to monetize your mobile site.
WP Touch is the mobile plugin that powers this site, KennethHolland.com.
Wapple Architect Mobile Plugin
Wapple is a complete solution for WordPress mobile users. The big advantage of Wapple is the amount of customization that can be done to configure your mobile website. You can add a custom header and graphics and design your site to look much like your regular website.
The disadvantage is it takes a considerable amount of time to set everything up. I have tried it, and frankly it can be a pain. However, I am considering using it in the future when I have more time and resources to devote to it. It is a quality plugin.
WordPress Mobile Pack
WordPress Mobile Pack is another quality plugin. I have only tested it (not used it) but I know several website owners who do use the plugin and love it. The plugin is updated frequently to keep pace with bugs and WordPress software updates and that's a must in my opinion.
The only obvious drawback that I've seen is that the themes are difficult to customize unless you are savvy with that sort of thing.
[You can find the above plugins by searching for them on the WordPress.org site]
So...
You cannot go wrong with any of the above plugins to get your WordPress blog mobile friendly. They all work extremely well and each have different strengths and weaknesses.
There are also many others on the WordPress.org site and that you may want to try. These are certainly not the only ones out there so there may be another solution that would be right for you.
If you're not sure which one is right for your objectives you should try them all. They're easy to ramp up and test. The key here is to pick one get your mobile optimized blog going. The future is here and the time is now.

15 Tips for Effective Mobile Website Design

Did you notice that mobile phones have become iconic devices with the proliferation of iPhones, Android phones and Blackberries? They have gathered a critical mass now and an increasing number of people are searching for information and resources on the Internet with their mobiles.

How do you tap this vast potential market? A mobile website is the answer. Design one yourself or get a site designed as soon as possible. The competition for attention in the smartphone segment is still manageable now, but will become worse as the days pass by.

Here are 15 tips for a great mobile website:

The mobile phones have much smaller screen space and therefore you need to cut down on the amount of information that you can include in the mobile pages.

The phones work on much slower bandwidth even if they are on 3G. Your site loads much faster if you have smaller files, few and compact graphics and other elements. Since the capacity of the phones vary widely, use progressive enhancement. This way you will have your site working fine off the most limited browsers but show up really great with the more capable browsers and phones.

Attention span on a mobile site is really limited. Include your most salient points - the big hitters -and do not try to tell everything and confuse the reader.

You might try this format - powerful headline, a paragraph of introduction text and a few bullet points followed by a call to action. New page loads are taxing on the bandwidth, too much information on a single page is daunting.

You have to strike a fine balance. Advertise on the mobile networks. The clicks are still affordable I can show you how.

You can also set up campaigns on AdWords (content display network) with mobiles as the selected target.

Always send the clicks to a mobile version of the landing page. Don't drop the ball by sending the clicks to a desktop landing page which won't show up clearly on the small screens.

Include a link to your main site so that they can see the whole story, if they are not happy with the limited information on the mobile site.

Mobile commerce (pay from a mobile - PayPal and phone billing) is picking up very fast. Be ready to take advantage.

Make your forms as small as possible. They can't fill up large forms with the mobile keyboard. Hot tip: Include a touch-to-call or click-to-call button. They are working off a mobile phone after all and calling someone is the most natural thing to do.

Build a SMS list. SMS marketing, like email marketing, is a potential winner. However you need to use it responsibly or else, you will go down the email spammer route.

You must include a mobile sitemap and submit it to the search engines. How can we forget the search engines? They can send large number of people to your sites after all.

Setup auto-sensing and auto-redirection for mobile browsers on the main URL.

Don't split your branding efforts by advertising 2 different URLs.

You can rest assured of massive success for your mobile websites and unlock a vast new market by following these tips.

The General Points Of Mobile Website Development And What It Can Provide For Your Company

Mobile website development is a term used to describe the specialized modification of a site to make it clearer to read on a mobile device. Though some businesses overlook the importance of this task it can be advantageous in helping to promote a company. There are several different mobile marketing techniques that can be improved by having this sort of program in play. Not only will it help to make your other promotion strategies better but it can also exist on its own as one.

For those who know a lot about mobile technology it doesn't make much sense to ignore this vital resource. Cell phones are greatly utilized by people of all ages. Many people spend a lot more time on utilizing the web capabilities of their cell than they do their desktop. Because of the great appeal that they have developed, odds are that these devices will just get smarter. This could mean so much more possibility for promoting your product. Portability and operational intelligence are going to bring ways of marketing with these machines that we have never before imagined. Beginning now at the start of this exciting new advertisement format is a great idea.

Some of the other techniques that are often used on cell phones include SMS marketing and Mobile application development. Both of these promotion options can be enhanced by having a well created cell accessible page. If a business puts out a promotional text message and does not have a website that can be viewed via the portable device there is a gap in time before clients can act on the call to action presented in the text. Time between original view and ability to act on a call to action is obliterated by a link that can be viewed on the portable device. Instant connections are what this genre of advertisement is all about. People today are preoccupied, they are impetuous, if you can get them to act immediately after the thought hits them you are going to have the best response rate. If the customer can instantly go to your site they are going to be a lot more likely to do what you want them to when they get there.

Another advantage is that with an instantaneous connection like this consumers are able to gain access to your information quite rapidly. If consumers want to know your business hours or pertinent schedule information for your business they will like being able to instantly access this info through the web from their phone. Clearly, as the leader of a company, you should be able to see how having access to a device that most people keep in arm's reach every second of the day could be beneficial.

Mobile website development is a great way of providing access to information over the web for consumers who frequently utilize mobile devices. Getting your site enhanced for access via portable devices is super easy. Many companies exist that can help to make this process much simpler for you. Just contact one of those places today to get started.

Establish long term loyalty with your consumers with the help of Mobile Website Development or Mobile Marketing

Twitter Vs SMS Text Message Marketing

If you ask 100 people whether you should use Twitter for you business, you're likely to get split answers. Twitter is undoubtedly very popular, and it can provide sales and a new level of customer interaction for your business. There are several benefits and weaknesses to using Twitter for your small business, lets take a look at them when compared to SMS text message marketing.

Twitter is part of a larger group of social media web 2.0 sites. Also in this realm are Facebook and LinkedIn which we use but as you will find, it is hard to focus your attention on one and gain maximum benefit. Twitter is free and you probably already have customers and potential customers using it.

Benefits of Using Twitter

1) Allows you to check up on your customers, haters and competition. There are new Twitter search alert tools that allow you to be sent alerts when someone Tweets about your business or competition. This is a great way to stay on the curve. There are several free tools out there that can help you accomplish this.

2) You can Tweet sales, promotions, product advice and discounts. The ROI is only sales against your time as Twitter costs no money directly. People Re-Tweeting your message allows it to have viral potential. To track Twitters effectiveness use special offers that are only on Twitter.

3) Grow your customer base. By using Twitter actively you allow people to find your business who previously didn't know you even existed.

Still Twitter results and time vs. return can be hard to measure. Is it the number of followers you have? The number of Tweets you send? How do you gain the most followers? How many people should you follow? How do you cut through all the proverbial noise on Twitter to get your message across? Do followers actually read your Tweets?

Twitter can be seen as most useful when you incorporate it into an overall marketing strategy and not as a stand alone to an end all be all. Text message marketing that uses SMS based messages picks up where the Twitter shortfalls begin. As a business and advertiser you need to build one on one relationships with your customers. Engaging them in a opt-in campaign allows you to do this and it is much more personal because messages are being sent right to their mobile device.

Benefits of Text Message Marketing vs. Twitter

1) 95% of messages are read by your subscribers in in 15 minutes. You know with text message marketing that your message is being heard. It is almost impossible with Twitter to measure this. Tweets could go days without being seen, if at all. This will not increase your business when you need it most.

2) The text audience is much larger than Twitter. Twitter is estimated to only receive 22 million unique visitors a month and some say it may be showing signs of declining. On the other hand there are over 150 million people a month who actively use text messaging as mobile communication and this number continues to grow at a rapid rate.

3) You can gain new subscribers instantly in your store, through your traditional advertising and through your customers forwarding your offers to a friend. Adding a mobile call to action which is ease and gives your customers a clear benefit is easy with text message marketing, not so much with Twitter.

4) Mobile marketing companies allow you to have text based contests, voting, coupons and offers. There is no easy way to do this on Twitter. The various text campaign types have be proven to be fun to customers, increase loyalty and sales by rewarding your best customers.

As a business owner today, you should embrace all of the new media outlets there are available to reach your customers and increase your sales. You need to build a database of your best customers that have a true relationship with your business. Twitter can be a nice addition to your marketing but will not be able to replace the ROI, increased sales and customer loyalty that text message marketing provides.

What Does Your Mobile Website (Or Lack Thereof) Say About Your Business?

Market Watch recently published an article titled Your Smart Phone Says a Lot About You, that analyzed a set of sociological trends among owners of various popular Smartphone devices, including BlackBerries, Android devices and, of course, the iPhone. While it seems that their amusing investigation of the secret identities of mobile users was published solely for entertainment purposes, it certainly prompted us to consider a correlated matter (and as Smartphones become mainstream, it doesn't seem impertinent to wonder): what sort of image or values are businesses conveying on the mobile web?

Businesses of all industries are starting to pay more attention to who's visiting their sites-and what technology they're using to get there. More and more, site analytics are factoring into the decisions a company makes regarding digital media and online marketing, including how to manage the shift many consumers are making to the mobile web. A couple of weeks ago we posted a blog about what one company, vegas.com found when they started tracking the number of visitors that were accessing their site from mobile devices-and guess what? When they discovered just how many leads they were losing every day because of how their site displayed in Smartphone browsers, mobilizing was an easy decision.

And while vegas.com is a great example of a company that was proactive about creating a mobile presence, many businesses still just aren't in tune with the message they send to mobile users-or they haven't established a budget or a strategy for mobile web development yet. Frankly, it seems unlikely that any business interested in establishing a professional, polished image and engaging valuable leads would be complacent about how their company was represented on the mobile web. Yet many brands and businesses are bouncing leads and missing sales opportunities every day because their sites aren't accessible from mobile devices, or if they are, they're major eye-sores in a mobile browser. And, granted that mobile web development is still a relatively new trend, it's still hard to believe that so many businesses haven't made any plan for transitioning to the up and coming new medium-maybe they just haven't considered what their website communicates to mobile users about their business.

As a matter of fact, we aren't the first ones to call attention to this shortcoming: Ad Age, the online marketing and media news source, recently published an article cataloguing "The World's Worst Agency Websites (For iPhones and iPads)." What was particularly interesting about their report was that it called out digital and creative ad agencies-companies whose primary function is to help brands with online marketing and media-for having sites that aren't even accessible from iOS devices because they are so heavily laden with Flash content. Even major international corporations were guilty of this-including Ogilvy, one of the worlds largest incorporated advertising agencies. The report was eye-opening as it showed that even businesses that claim to have expertise with mobile marketing, are failing when it comes to actually demonstrating those skills on the mobile web.

The good news for businesses that still don't have a mobile website, or any mobile strategy at all, is that it's not too late to get in the game. Going forward, sites that aren't optimized for mobile browsers won't impress the growing mobile user base-these companies stand to lose valuable business opportunities and fall behind the competition if they don't adapt to the new technological frontier. But as the need to engage mobile users becomes more critical every day, businesses, brands and agencies, will have to start giving more thought to how they're representing their business on the mobile web-and what that representation conveys about their company

What is SMS Or Text Message Marketing?

SMS stands for short message service. SMS is also often referred to as texting, sending text messages or text messaging. Text message marketing allows for short text messages to be sent from one cell phone to another cell phone or from the Web to another cell phone. Including spaces, text messages traditionally can't exceed 160 characters. SMS was created as part of the GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) Phase 1 standard. The first short message is believed to have been sent in December 1992 from a Personal Computer (PC) to a mobile phone on the Vodafone GSM network in the UK.

SMS messaging is very similar to an email in that it can be stored by the recipient and read again later. On the other hand it has been estimated that nearly 90 per cent of emails today are considered to be spam. SMS/text message marketing is a new and extremely powerful marketing channel. In today's dynamic and fast-evolving world, it is important to be able to reach your customers anywhere and at any time. SMS/text message marketing is a new and extremely powerful marketing channel.

Text marketing has gone mainstream and the audience for SMS marketing is only getting bigger. SMS will improve your sales and customer service, while reducing expenses in both areas. Smaller firms often have an advantage over big brand names because you already have a personal relationship with your customers. As a result, contacting them by mobile phone does not appear intrusive. Smart phones are taking off, texting is spreading beyond the under-30 crowd, and it is quickly becoming such an integral part of everyday life. Text Message Marketing - 2 Reasons it Will Work For Your Business

"Dude, that's not what we do! We don't make money from people texting...we are only successful when our clients are." This is how the conversation used to go with most of my friends and family that hadn't quite grasped what it is we do. That was until recently.

It's not that I blame them for not "getting it". Text Message Marketing has only recently emerged as the defacto marketing medium for small to medium sized business owners. It's an industry that didn't even exist a few years ago, but now it's literally exploding before our eyes.

Why has the trend caught on so fast? What is so appealing about text message marketing?

Look, here are 2 Reasons it Will Work For Your Business

There is a simple answer to these questions. They are: Value and Access.

Value is an arbitrary concept determined by each individual, but with text message marketing that value can be quantified by the results the business owner receives and by the number of subscribers each text message alert campaign has. That value of each marketing campaign can now be tracked and stacked against all other marketing efforts and the results make it clear to the business owner, there is no better way to market and advertise.

When the light comes on, it really shines...

I have an older brother who is extremely sharp in business; he's very well known and considered an expert in business start up in the technology industry. You would think that he's the kind of guy you think would catch this text message marketing concept from a mile away and would then have a million and one applications for it.

That was not the case. I don't know if it was my lack of ability to clearly explain to him the benefit of text messaging to a business owner or just the simplicity of how it works didn't jell with his advanced thinking, either way he didn't get it.

A few days ago I got a call from my brother (the genius one). He was so excited... well, excited for him. He says to me, "I get it, this texting thing works great for middle America! People can text in and get an alert or deal or some sort of special immediately on their phone!" It was like the light had just come on! I said that's it exactly. What made him finally see it? He had walked into a Chick-fil-A restaurant and saw a table tent that said Text CFA to 411247 to receive Free Stuff and Special Offers. He tried it, and the light came on!

Of course I went on to explain to him that Text Message Marketing was great for that application. The customer gets immediate value and the business gets unprecedented access to the customer's most personal communication device, their cell phone.

But that's not where the story ends...Text Messaging is now being used in almost every aspect of business and it's embraced by thousands of organizations to create community, mobilize people, drive traffic to events and websites, save money, provide user generated content like weather reports and movie show times. There is seamless integration into existing software programs through API portals, it's all possible now. You need only look as far as the recent Obama campaign to see the dramatic effect text messaging has had on the country.

I have been astounded and blown away by the results businesses have when they use text messaging to enhance their marketing efforts. I've had the opportunity to personally hear from business owners across the country that have used text message marketing to increase sales, drive traffic, communicate more effectively, they are truly using this technology to grow their businesses. What started out as a way for a pizza shop to send its weekly special to a database has evolved into the most powerful and effective marketing medium on the planet.

One thing I have observed from the beginning is the always on factor of the mobile phone. When someone walks out the door in the morning they take 3 things with them...their wallet, their keys and their cell phone. At church on Sunday an announcement is made to turn off your cell phone and the same thing happens at the movies, our mobile phone's are always with us. We give our clients the vision of putting their message into their customers pockets whenever they want and then we give them the tools to make that happen.

SMS Text Messaging is a breakthrough communication medium that continues to expand over 250% year after year. A study from Emarketer shows that for the average mobile user in the US, the number of text messages placed is greater than the number of mobile calls placed. Businesses are now connecting to their target market and the customer is responding. I have never seen response rates this high in any other marketing medium. I continue to see 12-30% response rates and as high as 95% read rates!

There are a number of factors that are driving this industry and many reasons businesses are adopting text message marketing as part of their marketing strategy, but certainly two factors emerge as beacons that should make the light come on for you. They are Value and Access.

MLM, Network Marketing Should Use Text Message Marketing to Share the Opportunity!

Are you a part of a network marketing, MLM or direct selling company? Other than making a list, like most of them tell you to do, how are you getting in front of new prospects? Do you have a website? How does it rank in a Google search?
Luckily it gets better than just that, the jack swing says "Do you have a MOBILE website?" "Do you have a Text based client list?" "Are you using your products to promote YOU?" Try it right now, text "newclients" and your name to 41242
(I`m serious, USA only but try it now.)
Has the penny dropped yet?
Text Message Marketing gives you the ability to obtain the phone number of a new prospect, drive traffic to your website, which helps its Google ranking, and allows you a way to mass communicate to your downline and prospects!!!
While email and Facebook have their level of effectiveness, text message marketing allows you to get your message in front of a prospect or your downline when you it to be! With both email and Facebook, you have to hope your target audience is in front of their computer in enough time to read your message. Facebook can bury your message below a couple hundred wall posts and there is no guarantee that your email will be read or wasn't dumped into their spam folder.
How many people do you know that have a cell phone? Virtually all of them, right? I'm sure over 95% of those people that get text messages open them. Ask anybody where their phone is at any point in the day. It is probably within 3 feet of them. My attempt here is not to dump on Facebook and email, but rather to show Text Message Marketing is much more effective.
How does it work? First, there is the short code, that is the 4 - 6 digit number that a message is sent to. Second, is the keyword, chosen by the business owner, which is typed as the message. Press "SEND" in a few seconds the auto-response message will be sent to your phone. Try it now, it`s free, text "newclients" and your name to 41242 now.
Now, when you market your business, whether it is through business cards (which we can do using this system,) fliers (with your personal text code added), car magnets or your website (or Mobile Website which we can set up for you), you need to advertise your text message campaign in every other medium you use to market your business. Even if you are talking to someone about your business and you do not have any business cards or other information.
Ask them to get their phone out and text your keyword to the short code. Boom!! They have the information you want them to have right there on their phone. You need to promote the campaign as much as possible. Are you getting a feel for just how powerful this will be for your competition?
Now, the best thing about text message campaigns is not just the fact that you were able to give your prospect information about your company, but when they send that text to the short code, you now have their phone number! You are able to compile a list of people you know are interested in looking for an opportunity to make more money! That is huge! So, when you advertise your text campaign and people are texting in, you are building that list.
Now as you compile these phone numbers, you will be able to do two things. One, you can place a call to that person and thank them for taking the time to look at your business and the opportunity it offers. Do they have any questions you can answer? Let them know when the next webinar or opportunity presentation is going to take place.
If you do not want to call them, you have the ability to send them text messages through your back office to inform them of upcoming events.
This gives you control of when your prospect sees your message. Approximately 95% of all text messages are read within 15 minutes. Email and Facebook do not give you that kind of power. To illustrate the power a text message campaign has over influencing a customer's buying decision, restaurants will blast a text out right before lunch or dinner to influence their customers buying decisions. Restaurants on average have a 20% response rate! That's huge!
Now, when you send out a text message that contains a link to your (MOBILE)website, each click on that link helps optimize your website's ranking in Google and other search engines. So when a customer does a search for your product, service or a work from home opportunity, you improve your chances of being on the first page of Google, which is where you want to be. Moreover google uses a slightly different system for mobile website rankings, so it is even easier to rank high.
As your list of phone numbers grows, you have the ability to group those numbers into separate list, so you can communicate only to your downline. For example, let them know there is a team call tonight. Here is the dial in number and the access code.
You can group prospects into another list and let them know the great successes you and your company are having. Tell them when the next opportunity meeting or webinar is going to occur.
The possibilities are endless with a text message campaign. How big and outside of the box can you think? That's how big you can make your opportunity grow!!!
